Mary Kay Ash always said, “Ok, get your
pen. I want you to write this down. There are THREE ways to lead.
1. By
Example.
2. By
Example.
3. By
Example.”
I remember the first time I wrote that down from hearing her speak live
and in a small group at my NEW DIRECTOR week in Dallas . I got it. And I
have made it a practice of my Directorship from that day forward. You
cannot lead where you do not go, you cannot teach what you do not know.
It’s true. As a NATIONAL SALES Director, I’ve made it a priority to
develop tools (DESIGN BOOK- 90 day Planner and FOCUS Folders, recorded
messages) to support my AREA to THINK and WORK like I did as a growing
Million $ Director (I’m VERY proud of my unit to tell you that they are
targeted to complete their 13th consecutive Million $ year at Seminar
2005). I want to feature the SHAW DIRECTORS who are leading by Example.
First, I have challenged each LEADER to a personal team of 40. We
recognize at SEMINAR our Directors who have min. 30 personal team
members and 12 Company Qualified Seminar recruits for the year as LBX
Directors. Additionally, I have given our leaders the challenge of
getting and keeping 10 SCC on their date books! The first challenge was
to have them on the book by Jan. 25 for Feb. 15. The first 5 winners are
photo featured as PIONEER LBX Directors. On-going, I will photo feature
Directors who have 10 Classes for the NEW month on their date book by
the FIRST of the month. Clearly, once you get ON the date book and then
WORK FULL CIRCLE with individual closing at classes and Color
Appointment procedure in place, master the pre-profile and coaching
process, you’ll NEVER be off the date book again. And as Mary Kay
herself said, “When you’re out of bookings, you’re out of business.” It
is the FIRST of skills that you want to master! Join me as we celebrate
the INNER CIRCLE SHAW AREA’S LBX Directors! |
