I took the opportunity to call some voice com mailboxes the other day and found some interesting things! I was very impressed by how many Consultants use their Voice Com mailbox as a business line for their Clients to leave them a message. This not only ensures that each Client gets a professional greeting, and keeps business messages in one place easy to access when you have a few minutes phone time, but… it also releases your family of the responsibility of having to take messages for you - or possibly never getting the message to you at all! How do you feel when you call a business and you’re not even sure if you reached the right # because you didn’t understand what the person answering the phone said - or they sounded like you ‘bothered’ or interrupted them! And worse, when you leave a message and they NEVER return your call! For how long do you continue doing business with this company! You don’t!

The really smart Consultants also directed their Clients to their personal web site, giving them the web address and telling them about the SAAB promotion! Not only is that smart, but it’s extremely time efficient for both you and your client! She suddenly is very excited to check out what new things she may not know about that the web site can tell her all about!

It is such a privilege to be a business owner and work out of our home - at the same time the professional image we project will give us the foundation, business for a lifetime that we all want!

Lastly…Voice Com Name Tags - what do they say about you?

Does it say - I am creative - you love adding music and spicing it up, making sure everyone knows you love to have fun! You’ve made your name tag with a HUGE smile on your face!

Does it say - I am a team player - you’re committed to being a part of YOUR Unit’s goal, making sure everyone knows what you’re willing to bring to the table! You’ve made your name tag with integrity and maturity in your voice!

Does it say - I am on a mission - you’ve set a goal for this week, this month or this quarter and you want your team members, sister consultants, Director and NSD to keep you accountable to it! You’ve made your name tag with passion & determination in your voice!

Does it say - I am clueless - if this is you…you may not realize it! I will be the first to admit I’ve had seasons in my career where I fell into this category! J You haven’t changed your name tag in months (or possibly years), you’re announcing a goal you have little intention on meeting, or listed expectations you pass on to others without passing that same judgment on yourself! OR…my personal favorite - you say your name, only your name - no expression, no passion, no life! (and I am not referring to the brand new Consultants who’ve just gotten onto Voice Com and are still learning all about it)

I know - it’s cruel - but guys - think about it……EVERYTHING, THAT COMES OUT OF OUR MOUTHS says something about who we are and where we’re headed!
