JUNE FOCUS

Good Morning Incredible SHAW AREA!

My Travels for the 2003 Seminar year have ended, SUCCESSFULLY! I am grateful to have had the opportunity to be with so many of you face to face this year and to share the leadership journey with many others who do not have the leadership our Area has, to be with my girlfriends to support their leadership as they give to us as well. I am grateful to be home-based for these next 2 weeks as together, we wrap up what seems like the impossible DREAM! I KNOW you can do what your heart's desire is calling you as you have verbalized your goal, and I KNOW that the celebration in Dallas will be worth the next 2 weeks of effort! Not to mention the momentum you set up for July and Seminar 2004 as you do the AND THEN SOME to make our 40th Celebration a BANG up celebration!

"The greatest tragedy is not death , but life without purpose." Knowing your purpose simplifies your life. Your purpose becomes the standard you use to evaluate which activities you do and don't do! A simple question, " Does this activity help me fulfill God's purpose for my life?" Clearly, God calls us to many roles...and it is with wisdom and discernment that we must decide WHEN to pour on power WHERE.

Jerry and I stayed home from the NSD trip this year for family reasons. It was Thomas's last week of school...many end of year activities and Awards Celebrations that would be important to him were taking place. Jerry and I LOVE the trips. It was a sacrifice we made NOT to be w/ our Company friends...to BE with our family. This past weekend I agreed to be in Louisville for my good friend, Linda Toupin. Saturday was to be Thomas's last baseball game. I CHOSE to be in Louisville. Many Shaw Area Consultants and directors were also there. It was a powerful weekend, God blessed the teaching. The feedback was clear. When I returned home, I saw on the fridge the 'make up schedule' for his baseball season--- 4 additional games from the rain-outs. I didn't miss his last game after all. WHAT IF....I had guarded myself so closely. PRAYERFUL DISCERNMENT for Every day is critical.

Without a clear purpose, you have NO foundation on which you base decisions, allocate your time, and use your resources. You will make choices based on circumstances, pressures, and mood at the moment. People who don't know their purpose busy themselves with other 'acceptable' activities, hide behind children and other worthy obligations---they try to do too much, become inflicted with guilt, fatigue, stress and conflict.

It is impossible to do EVERYTHING you want to do. So, PRIORITIZE and PRESS ON these two weeks ahead! The power of focus can be seen in light. With a magnifying glass, the rays of the sun can be focused to set grass or paper on fire. There is nothing quite as potent as a focused life, one lived on -purpose!. The apostle Paul said, "I am focusing all my energies on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead". If you want your life to have an impact, FOCUS IT! Stop dabbling. Prune away 'good' activities so you can have God's BEST in your life. The enemy of GREAT is Good. Stop confusing activity with productivity. Busy-ness without a purpose is empty.

I am here this week for the working. If you need me, I am here. I am in voice com, I am on email, I am available live--to Directors and SHAW unit DIQ's, you are welcome to my cell Monday-Saturday. 24-7. If I don't answer when you call, I will call you as soon as I awake or return or get off another call. I am committed to your victory. I thank you for embracing our INNER CIRCLE goal as a National AREA. Everyone has the opportunity to contribute to that goal this month. And we will all know who is...by seeing whose production INCREASES over average! Whose recruiting increases over average!!! I love, appreciate and celebrate you today!

Yours,

Good Morning Audacious Ones,

Key thought for the day. “Impossible Things are Possible with God”. We are at such an exciting time of the month. Tell yourself, let yourself hear these words. “We are on a roll, nothing can stop us now”. “Wow, I can feel the momentum.” “We are in the middle of overflow.” “Abundance is calling my name.” “A million in production is looking for me now”

"Think excitement, talk excitement, act out excitement, and you are bound to become an excited person. Life will take on a new zest, deeper interest and greater meaning. You can think, talk and act yourself into dullness or into monotony or into unhappiness. By the same process you can build up inspiration, excitement and surging depth of joy."

- Norman Vincent Peale –

You have the ability to stir passion, commitment and contagious energy into YOURSELF! How? Read the above and apply. You see, either way , to the positive or the negative…you can prove to yourself that this works. We are always creating. Some of us choose to create more of what we don’t want. Some deliberately grab the reins and turn the situation around by choosing what to think about and what to talk about. ..what to focus energies on and what not to… Passion, excitement, energy can be stirred as easily as doubt frustration and depression. The great news is that you have the master control. It is not what happens to you, it is how you choose to respond, and how you choose to live this day. Either way, the outcome is on its’ way.

As we are told in Deuteronomy, “Choose this day whom you will serve.” And…”I set before life and death, blessings and curses...choose!! (Obviously, I am taking liberties here) Here’s the point. It is your choice. What do you want? Line up your words and energy with that you want to attract.

I believe in you and the power of your future. MAKE it your best day ever and keep those excited phone calls coming my way! XOXOXOXMP <><
